| using now. I picked up on it a few weeks ago and went to the MPH website. It's supposed to be the shit to beat all detectors. Essentially it's a radar that is outside the assigned band for traffic radar. Not to be used in support of ticket writing (courts don't recognize it's use) - so, get this, the cops use it to pre-measure your speed (meaning they don't have to turn on their radar until they are sure you're speeding). That effectively eliminates virtually all warning. They zap you and if the car comes back as a "vehicle of interest" - not my words - speeding, they hit you with the Ka Band and write the ticket based on that. I was thinking something was wrong with my detector because I was passing cops with the radar apparatus hanging out of the window and getting nothing. For a more indepth explanation, check out the MPH website - they can't brag on it enough!
